We are excited to share our progress and report on our activity during the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2026 (April through June 2026).
SBGP is grateful for the opportunity to serve South Baltimore communities with integrity, transparency, and commitment. Over the past quarter, we have continued strengthening our operations and investing in the future of our neighborhoods.
This past quarter, South Baltimore Gateway Partnership:
- Hired two new staff members, Business Systems Administrator and Operations Manager, and internally promoted staff to Deputy Director of Institutional Advancement, Community Grants Director, Restoration Director, and Senior Executive Operations Manager.
- Continued planning for its 10th anniversary in Fall 2026 with an upcoming series of events to celebrate SBGP’s achievements, amplify community voices, and foster deeper connections across the SBGP District, including a new SoWeBo Gateway 5K race in partnership with the Southwest Sports and Fitness Alliance.
- Selected consultant to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive anniversary campaign, including providing a platform for seeking event sponsorships and cultivating future donors so that SBGP can continue to expand its work.
- Continued with discovery and design phase for its comprehensive website redevelopment project and moved into the development phase, with an expected new website launch in October 2026.
- Implemented a new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to manage the Community Grants applications process which will be implemented organization-wide in future quarters.
- Presented and approved its proposed FY27 Financial Plan (budget), which was then approved by the City’s Board of Estimates.
To date, SBGP has committed approximately $53.3 million of core intergovernmental Local Impact Grant funds to projects across the District, ranging from small community grants to large capital projects. An additional $3.4 million of projects were in development for a total mobilization of approximately $56.7 million. Reflecting SBGP’s commitment to an equitable model of investing, approximately 76 percent of core program funding to date has been invested in low-income communities and communities of color within the District.
