Design / Build Contract for the Renovation of the Carroll Park Recreation Center (formally known as the Carroll Park PAL Center)
South Baltimore Gateway Partnership (SBGP), in partnership with the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks (BCRP), is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to solicit design-build proposals from firms for the design and construction for the renovation and expansion of the Carroll Park Recreation Center located at 800 Bayard St., Baltimore, MD 21223.
The Carroll Park Recreation Center is a small masonry structure dating back to the 1970s of approximately 7,500 square feet located on the northeast corner of Carroll Park in the neighborhood of Pigtown. The building has been functionally abandoned for more than a decade. SBGP will be leading the effort to renovate and reopen the Center for public use, and is seeking a team with the capacity to perform the necessary design, permitting, estimating, and construction. Qualifications, evaluation criteria, and funding source and amount are also described in the RFP.
All proposals related to this RFP are to be submitted to procurement@sbgpartnership.org by 5:00 PM on Friday, December 31, 2021. Hard copies will not be accepted. See the full RFP for additional proposal instructions.
