We are excited to share our progress and report on our activity during the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2026 (October through December 2025).

SBGP is proud and grateful for the opportunity to serve South Baltimore communities with integrity, transparency, and commitment. Over the past quarter, we have continued strengthening our operations and investing in the future of our neighborhoods.

This quarter, SBGP:

  • Completed hiring for a new Senior Real Estate Development Manager and a new Enhanced Services Manager
  • Began planning for a celebration of its 10th anniversary in Fall 2026
  • Kicked off the discovery and design phase for its comprehensive website redevelopment project
  • Received the Single Audit for FY25. SBGP’s independent auditors issued an unmodified (clean) audit opinion
  • And the SBGP Board approved the appointment of three new Board members effective January 1, 2026!

A key milestone last quarter for the South Baltimore Gateway Foundation, a new affiliated nonprofit organization designed to serve as a fundraising vehicle, was that it received its IRS determination letter granting 501(c)3 status. SBGP plans to take additional steps to further establish the organization in the coming quarters.

To date, SBGP has committed approximately $48.8 million of core intergovernmental Local Impact Grant funds to projects across the District, ranging from small community grants to large capital projects. An additional $3.4 million of projects were in development for a total mobilization of approximately $52.2 million. Reflecting SBGP’s commitment to an equitable model of investing, approximately 78 percent of core program funding to date has been invested in low-income communities and communities of color within the District.
