Read our latest Quarterly Report
We are excited to share our progress and report on our activity during the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2025 (October – December 2024).
Starting this quarter, the format of these Quarterly Reports will be different than it has been in the past. When SBGP first began preparing these reports, they were one of the best ways for the public to hear about the work SBGP was doing on their behalf. Now with a well-developed communications department, the public is informed about SBGP programs long before this Quarterly Report comes out. That said, it is still important for SBGP to regularly provide a comprehensive view of its financial and operational situations. These reports are shifting priority focus to SBGP’s budget, spending patterns, annual financial audits, and other financial and operational matters, with the goal of streamlining these reports to make them less cumbersome and easier to access the information. If anyone has any questions or cannot find specific information, please contact outreach@sbgpartnership.org and SBGP will be glad to help.
Continuing with another strong quarter, SBGP is proud and grateful for the ability to consistently continue to serve the community. While upholding core values and high standards of practices, SBGP has worked closely with neighborhood leaders, City agencies, and other partners to channel funds into important and necessary community programs and projects within the District.
This quarter, SBGP:
- Completed hiring for three new staff positions, a Communications and Outreach Manager, a Community Grants Manager, and a Restoration Manager to help manage and communicate about SBGP’s growing portfolio of work and MBRI (Middle Branch Resiliency Initiative) grants and projects. The new employees will start in the upcoming quarter.
- Appointed a new board member following the application and public comment periods and the review process previously reported. The SBGP Board approved the appointment, effective January 1, 2025.
- Completed the review and interview process for and selected a website developer to provide services for a comprehensive website redevelopment project to replace its current site with a new website with accessibility integration. The project will kick off in the upcoming quarter.
To date, SBGP has committed approximately $40.5 million of core intergovernmental Local Impact Grant funds to projects across the District, ranging from small community grants to large capital projects. An additional $6.6 million of projects were in development for a total mobilization of approximately $47.1 million. Reflecting SBGP’s commitment to an equitable model of investing, approximately 75 percent of core program funding to date has been invested in low-income communities and communities of color within the District.
