Apply now to be a YouthWorks work site this Summer!
Could your organization use local Baltimore youth to help you do great work this Summer? The Mayor’s Office and SBGP are sponsoring Summer YouthWorks participants (ages 14-21) to help improve South Baltimore neighborhoods and we’re looking for organizations to host them.
Here’s what you need to know:
- YouthWorks opportunities are available both in-person (for workers ages 18-21) and virtually (for workers ages 14-21).
- YouthWorks positions for non-profits and community groups are being sponsored with Casino Local Impact Grant funds (there is no cost to your organization for youth’s salaries)
- YouthWorks will run 20 hours per week for six weeks (June 28th – August 6, 2021) for remote work, or 25 hours per week for five weeks (June 28 – July 30) for in-person assignments.
- To be paired with South Baltimore youth, be sure to indicate on your YouthWorks application that you are applying as part of the “Casino program.”
- Funding is also available for “Coaches” to help your organization supervise cohorts 15+ youth workers. Please indicate in the interest form below if you are interested in being paired with a Coach.
- Applications to host youth workers must be submitted to YouthWorks by Friday, April 16th.
- Youth interested in being workers must apply on the YouthWorks website by Wednesday, March 31st. Your organization can request to have specific youth hosted at your site until Thursday, April 22nd.
If you think your organization would be a good fit for YouthWorks workers, please complete the interest form below and we will be in touch with additional information. Still have questions? Email us at outreach@sbgpartnership.org.
