We are excited to share our progress and report on our activity during the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2025 (January – March 2025).
Continuing our momentum into 2025, SBGP is proud and grateful for the opportunity to serve South Baltimore communities with integrity, transparency, and commitment. Over the past quarter, we have continued strengthening our operations and investing in the future of our neighborhoods.
This quarter, SBGP:
- Welcomed two new team members, including a Community Grants Manager and a Restoration Manager, and began recruiting for a new Communications and Outreach Manager to continue expanding SBGP’s capacity and impact.
- Initiated major projects, including a comprehensive website redevelopment and a strategic technology roadmap to better serve our partners and communities.
- Received authorization to establish an affiliated 501(c)3 nonprofit to support fundraising, revenue diversification, and our long-term sustainability.
- Developed its proposed FY26 Financial Plan (budget), which will be finalized and submitted to the Board of Estimates during the next quarter.
To date, SBGP has committed approximately $41.3 million of core Local Impact Grant funds to projects across the District, ranging from small community grants to large capital projects. An additional $6.2 million of projects were in development, bringing total total mobilization to approximately $47.6 million. Approximately 76 percent of core program funding has been invested in low-income communities and communities of color, reflecting SBGP’s continued commitment to equitable investing.
