SBGP is seeking candidates to fill three positions:

  • Communications and Outreach Manager – will plan, manage, and coordinate SBGP’s communications and outreach in collaboration with the Senior Communications and Outreach Manager. This position helps SBGP engage with the communities in the South Baltimore Gateway District and responds to their needs, while also ensuring the general public and stakeholders see and understand the work SBGP is doing. This position gathers, produces, and disseminates information among diverse stakeholders in the District, while also serving in a supporting liaison role to the communities SBGP serves. The Communications and Outreach Manager will engage with the 17 communities in the SBGP District through email, phone, social media, and attendance at community meetings and coordinates with other staff for community meeting support.   • Community Grants Manager – will support and coordinate the growing SBGP Community Grants program, which funds nonprofit and mission-based organizations that are based in, work in, or serve the SBGP District. This position partners with the rest of the Community Grants team to manage the Community Grants portfolio and team to ensure that grant opportunities are well publicized; that applicants are supported in their applications; that applications are reviewed in a fair, professional, and strategic manner; that grants are professionally contracted, administered, and tracked; and that community partners receive high-quality technical assistance through the Keys to Capacity (K2C) program. Click here for more information on this position, including job responsibilities and qualifications, and to apply.
  • Environmental Project Manager (Restoration Manager) – Grounded in the principles of the community-driven and city-adopted Reimagine Middle Branch initiative, the Environmental Project Manager will perform a crucial role in effectively stewarding grant funds to advance environmental justice in the disinvested communities of South Baltimore through the Middle Branch Resiliency Initiative (MBRI) and associated waterfront trail and greenspace improvements. Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Restoration Manager, the Environmental Project Manager will drive the development and execution of compliance strategies for all environmental contract and grant requirements.
