DESCRIPTION:The Youth Resiliency Institute’s annual Juneteenth Commemoration marks a pivotal day in our nation’s history. Juneteenth\, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day\, is an important holiday celebrated annually on June 19th. \nThe Youth Resiliency institute’s two-part Pre-Juneteenth Commemoration will foster a sense of belonging and pride\, while serving as a powerful tool to bridge generations and impart wisdom while activating Middle Branch Park. \nRescheduled Date: June 28th\, 2026 \nTime: 2pm – 6:30pm \nEvent details: \nAn outdoor screening of the award-winning film “Sr.” \nAn extended exhibition of Cherry Hill Charm \nThe Youth Resiliency Institute will present an extended installation at the Middle Branch Park Boathouse featuring historic coverage from the Afro-American Newspaper that will highlight a time when Black families were actively blocked from moving into white neighborhoods through redlining and racially restrictive covenants. *Special thanks to Afro Charities.
