DESCRIPTION:SBGP Nonprofit Boot Camp: External Communications\nNovember 16\, 2023 6:00-8:00PM (hybrid; in-person location City Garage\, 101 W. Dickman Street\, Baltimore\, MD 21230)\nIn-person meeting attendees are expected to be vaccinated. Masks are welcome but not required. On-site parking available\, ADA accessible bathrooms\, and first-floor meeting area.\n \nRegister here. \nThe External Communications Workshop will assist nonprofits in assessing current plans to communicate with the public about organizational services and identifying tools that further advertise their nonprofit’s work. \nDuring this session we will: \n1)    Explore existing outreach and communications strategies in the nonprofit sector as it relates to information management\, service delivery\, and team project management. \n2)    Create S.M.A.R.T objectives (specific\, measurable\, attainable\, relevant\, and timely) that develop communications among your organization’s team members or staff relating to project management. Identify organizational and board-driven strategies to amplify organizations’ online voice and presence. \n3)    Learn how to use social media as advocacy tools\, for building an audience\, and how to measure effectiveness. Identify existing public-facing communication strategies and explore ways to increase engagement. \n4)    Receive various communications resources that engage your community\, encourage partnership\, and advance organizational goals and missions in the short and long-term. \nIf requesting accommodations for this meeting\, please reach out one week in advance to cemmanuelle@sbgpartnership.org. During this workshop participants will: \n· Explore program evaluation models that help your organization communicate its success\, challenges\, lessons learned\, and partnerships. \n· Assess existing approaches to outcome evaluation and effectiveness of current tools used within your organization. \n· Identify ways to highlight your organization’s work and improve data collection that is simplified within the nonprofit’s existing practices. \n· Each participating organization will be invited to schedule a follow-up technical consulting meeting to explore and support your organization’s evaluation strengths and areas of improvement. \nIf requesting accommodations for this meeting\, please reach out one week in advance to cemmanuelle@sbgpartnership.org.
