DESCRIPTION:Keys to Capacity Workshop: BoardBUILD with Business Volunteers of Maryland\nDecember 8\, 2022 6:00 – 8:00pm  (virtual only) \nRegister here. \nIn BoardBUILD\, Business Volunteers directs a critical learning experience for nonprofit leaders on board governance. \nThis free\, virtual offering will provide attendees with: \n\nthe knowledge of individual roles and responsibilities of members of Board of Directors;\na comprehensive experience that will focus heavily on the board’s role in financial oversight\, fiduciary responsibility\, and conflict of interest; and\nan understanding of the importance of leveraging the business acumen and expertise of board members to expand the capacity and capabilities of the nonprofit organization they serve.\n\nJoin us to learn the questions to ask to ensure your board and nonprofit are operating effectively\, as well as the warning signs that may indicate there is trouble and it’s time to reconnect and re-engage board members. The training uses will use a variety of case studies and exercises to provide a relevant and engaging and tool-building experience for attendees.
